Thoughts on the changes coming to DTZ? I actually dont mind it. The only thing I would change is to have a category for people that stream the show. I dont have a home base to listen to so I will never be able to play. Really kinda sucks cause I was calling every week to try and win.

What are the changes? My listenership over the last six weeks has been sporadic at best.

What are the changes? My listenership over the last six weeks has been sporadic at best. I won't know until I catch up on the podcast, but, from the description here, it sounds like they have set it up so only specific areas can call in to play in a given week, probably in response to people whining that it takes longer to make the phone connections in some markets than others. (Which isn't true: they put the phones on hold for a random period of time after Free Beer says "Call now," which should even things out.) If my guess is right, then I agree: they should give streaming listeners a chance, too. (And podcasters! "Call now, podcasters. We'll play the game in three days.)

I think there are a lot of people like me who don't care so much about the money, but would just love a chance to play. I think it would be awesome if, once or twice a year, they did an entire show of DTZ, just one contestant after another, for no money, or charity, or something.

This morning they said they were going to enter a thing into the random drawing for those that podcast/stream.

I'm cool with the new rule. Although, it does seem like if whichever station is in the running that week asks people to call in to get registered there's a higher chance of getting a contestant who just likes "tunes" the rest of the day and isn't actually a fan of the show. I think it would be awesome if, once or twice a year, they did an entire show of DTZ, just one contestant after another, for no money, or charity, or something. I love it.

I like the idea, except that it will limit peoples chances at the big pots.
For example, its now at $2800 and Springfield gets the opportunity at it next week. Nobody else gets an opportunity at it. If someone from Springfield wins next week, it resets to $400 for whatever station gets pulled for the following.
I think they should open it up to everyone (other than those stations previously eliminated) when the pot reaches a certain thresh hold.
