. . . because a tub of play-doh will eventually become an animal? no - 5 "Oh, but 'baby fish mouth' is sweeping the nation!" I'm not sure if this is a clue or a random quote. Am I thinking too hard about this?

Jiggy, you are thinking too hard. The shape of the item is that of a soon-to-be animal.

The baby fish mouth thing threw me off cause I thought Queenie said that. I don't see avatars anymore cause of the app I use and didn't look at the name.

It is a piggy bank and I put pull tabs in it from coke cans that the slobs in my office leave on their desks (and in the copy room, and on the kitchen table, and everywhere because OBVIOUSLY they don't know what a effin trash can looks like!!) Oh, and they don't make the Leggs eggs anymore. They just come in a boring box. My kids used to love playing with these, but I guess they are "greener" now, not littering the earth with non-biodegradable plastic eggs.

L'eggs was the only plastic egg I could think of that holds something. I'm glad you considered that "close enough," because I never would have asked, "Is it an AFLAC piggy bank shaped like an egg?"
Side note: what is it with people pulling the pull tabs off cans all the time. Is that just a Tennessee thing, or does everyone do it? I can't say I've never, but 99% of the time just leave the tab on.

I save them for Ronald McDonald House, and somewhat out of habit.
