I remember when I was 16, I worked a week landscaping for a 'Moose Lodge' in South Haven Michigan. Anyway when I finally got paid my buddy and I immediatly when to walmart to spend some money (wow...walmart) anyway my dad was home when we returned and asked if I had gotten paid to which i replied "yah, and I bought Spaceballs"
...long pause.....
disapointed tone* "You bought spaceballs with the money you earned all week?"
me- 'yeah'
dad- 'WELL PUT IT IN!'

I wish I could say I saw it in the theatre, but comics came first in those days, and a 5 dollar movie ticket was = to 3 or 4 comics. I did however end up getting the soundtrack, and the novelization, and of course I own the special edition DVD
While I dearly love this movie, I feel that it suffers in the same way that most Mel Brooks movies suffer, too much Jew humor. Yeah yeah I get it Mel you're jewish, and that's quirky. Thanks for hitting me over the head with it a billion times.

My hope is that it is at least as good of quality as the animated clerks series was. I know people that hated it, but i thought it was great. I would gladly take that for spaceballs as well.

I loved the animated Clerks ! Have you seen thetrailer for Zack and Miri Make a Porno yet ? I think it looks like it's going to be very funny. They're showing the original movie first.
Then, it looks like all of the animated episodes back to back Then it looks like at 7:00pm they're repeating the whole thing again.
