I think he did a really nice job. He had a couple of stutters and he kept popping his microphone (which probably wasn't his fault).
Curtis Conway was too mush-mouthy to be involved in a professional broadcast IMO.

Listening now. I can hear the nerves in Free Beer's voice, but only because I'm so familiar with his normal cadence. I don't think anyone who has never heard him before would notice. He IS doing a nice job and it's clear that he is well prepared and knows what he is doing. I have already caught one amusing word scramble, though: "Boy, Curtis, you're not right!" From the context, I could tell he fused "You're right" with "You're not kidding." He has also tripped over his tongue a few times, but no big deal. He's doing a great job of recovering and not letting it distract him. And I agree with Biff: Curtis needs to avoid eating peanut butter before the game. Also, not surprisingly, the nervousness is leaving Free Beer's delivery very quickly as the game goes on and he settles down a bit.

He's getting steadily better at the game goes on and doing an excellent job of using inflection to communicate the varying intensity of the game.

I think I might have an old Curtis Conway football card somewhere, I should dig it out and mail it to the show, asking if FB can get it signed for me.
