My most embarrassing sports moment came during my freshman year of high school. It was the first game of the season for the freshman baseball team. We were playing a home game and there was a pretty large crowd, likely because it was unseasonably warm for the time of year. In the crowd were my parents and a bunch of my friends.
I had just hit a single in my first at-bat. I was feeling great. As I took my lead from first base I get the seal sign. Perfect! Now I get to show off my speed! The pitcher begins his motion and I take off for second. About 2/3 of the way there I suddenly trip over my own feet. WHAMMO! I fall flat on my face. I immediately start to get back up, hoping to keep running, but the second baseman is standing right in front of me, ball in hand. Laughing his head off.
He reaches over and tags me with the ball. "I think, uh, you're out," he says, still laughing loudly.

I was in 8th grade in the middle of a baseball game when I needed to adjust the alignment of my cup while I was in the dugout. I used my thumb to pull the cup away from everything so it could reset and it snapped back and hyper extended my thumb. I couldn't get that hand back into my glove so I had to walk over to the coach and tell him to send someone into the field for me and why.
