So I am too old now, with a effed up knee cap, but back in the day, I played volleyball, softball and basketball. I also love playing golf, but don't get to play anymore. I played tennis, but did just that "played" - not competitively. Actually I just gave up volleyball last year. My doc says I'm lucky that my knee lasted this long.
So, did you or do you play sports in high school or just at all competitively?

Softball, volleyball, tennis as a pseudo-hobby, I now golf, and still play volleyball on a rec league. Knees are bad from the softball years, but I'd love to find a team to play on in the summers....miss it like crazy. Also did flag football for a while while in college.

oh, they told me I'll probably eventually need surgery....it's my kneecaps....they're not centered....if I kneel down just right, sends pain through my whole leg. I hobble when the weather changes too quickly too.

Played baseball through high school. Was mainly a pitcher and left fielder. Took up golf in middle school, but didn't really get serious until college.

I was a catcher (yeah yeah, laugh now) before they had things like "knee saver" pads. Years of hanging out behind home plate pretty much did them in. However, I got killer calves because of it!

I played baseball and soccer for 13 years, then in HS took up golf and still play leisurely....and I guess as every Michigander does, I bowl as well.

How old are you? I'm guessing that you're close in age to me, and Knee Savers were on the market before I had even reached middle school.

Everything! I was a gymnast (all around) and played basketball (power forward despite my 5'1" stature), softball (catcher), and floor hockey (left wing) all for school teams. Recreationally though I play beach volleyball and beach football with my local buddies. In high school I was the statistics manager and athletic trainer for the baseball team. In college I worked with the sports information office doing stats for all the teams. I got into every game for free and sat front and center at the press table. Sports are pretty much my life.

I've had one cortisone shot and getting another tomorrow. I was a catcher as well and we didn't have knee saver pads either. Whether or not they were on the market didn't matter, the school I went to didn't even have a softball field.

I am 27....and they came in just after I stopped playing....and of course, our HS was a bit biased towards the male sports, so we women got the Shit end of the stick. I started behind the plate when I was 10 or 11...so even having them in HS wouldn't have helped, as most damage was probably already done.

In high school I played softball, soccer, and swim team. When I got to college I got to busy to continue anything until I met my husband who was into paintball. So for the past four years, I have been traveling all over the US playing competitive paintball (yep I make a small fortune screaming at guys and lighting their a$$e$ up with paint!!). Were getting ready to head down to Orlando in October to play the PSP... anyone going to be down that way the 20-26th come check us out. Other than that my favorite sport is chasing my three beautiful babies around all day...
