First off let me say that I have no problem with Free Beer at all and am not trying to attack/disrespect him or anyone else.
My observations: Long long ago I remember Free Beer saying he was reading a book that had an atheist theme, or atheist viewpoint on the world,...or something of the sort. Main point being it was a very atheist book.
Later Free Beer comments on his wife saying something like how she is worried that him reading this particular book will change him and make him an atheist.
Ever since it seems that Free Beer seems very skeptical about religious things, recently he said something about "Creation Myths". Although that is technically the correct term it just seems a very skeptical way to phrase it. I wouldn't say that he bashes religion nor is he disrespectful but that seems to be his personality generally anyway.
I know all the show members have stated they don't believe purely in Intelligent Design nor have any of them claimed to not believe in God at all. But it just seems to me that Free Beer has lost the faith that he might have had before.
Ultimately I don't care if Free Beer ( or anyone ) is an atheist, I just wonder if anyone else has noticed this or has thought something similar.
Thank you.

I never really thought about it, and now that I am thinking about it, Free Beer is kind of hard to peg because he doesn't really talk about his own religious beliefs as much as the other two. Listeners do know that Free Beer is the only Protestant of the three. From the various things I have heard discussed, I think Zane is probably the most pious of the group, but even he has a healthy dose of skepticism in terms of taking the Bible literally or being extremely zealous. As a skeptic myself (I don't use the word "Atheist," but that's splitting hairs), I tend to have my radar tuned in to those sorts of discussions, and I haven't heard anything that made me think, "Yes! Free Beer is coming over to my side!" Not that I actually would think that, because I really don't care what anyone else believes, as long as their beliefs don't include killing anyone who doesn't agree with them. Based on the things I have heard him say on the air, my impression of Free Beer would be that he does believe in God, isn't particularly zealous about it, respects others' right to believe what they want, and doesn't talk much about going to church...but not necessarily because he doesn't go regularly--it's just as likely that he just thinks a person's religious activities are a private matter. Now that's filling in A LOT of blanks with arbitrary supposition...but that's what you asked for.

I think you nailed it perfectly.

I'd exalt you but then your karma wouldn't match your Jesus picture.

Just because you aren't hardcore religious doesn't mean you have to be atheist or agnostic. A lot of people just don't put much thought into it. They may believe in God and feel that as long as you're a good person all of this other stuff like going to church, reading scripture, spreading the word, etc. just isn't that important.
That's pretty much where I fall.
