KALAMAZOO -- "Oprah" is off the air at the Kalamazoo County Jail. Regular television shows were replaced last week with educational programming during most daytime hours. Although some inmates grumbled about the change, Lt. Gail Sampsell reminded them Thursday that they had no control over the TV. "The channel change came from The Cellblock to Classroom Program started by a group of volunteers, primarily from St. Thomas More Catholic Student Parish, who have been involved with Bible studies at the jail. Parish member Frank Sila came up with the idea when one inmate called himself a responsible man because he didn't beat his wife in front of the children."I expected a punch line to a bad joke," Sila said. "He was dead serious." www.mlive.com/news/grpress/index.ssf?/base/news-43/1218633342236130.xml&coll=6

That is a person you could take parenting advice from Becky: 1. don’t bathe kids in toilet 2. dog food is not for human consumption 3. don’t beat spouse in front of kids
