Is it just me or has the best of been 100% repeats of stuff just played recently during best of shows? Is Steve off too this week? Just checking, but the lack of variety really hurting my ability to distract myself from my real work.

I must admit, as much as I like Steve, he's been really phoning it in the last few days. I can understand Friday being a rebroadcast of Wednesday. But now we've had three days in a row of replays of (I think) the Thanksgiving "Best ofs." In the year and a half Steve has been doing "Best of" I've heard a handful of segments 4-5 times. No offense, but to me that's a tad lazy.
Here's hoping this trend doesn't continue for all of the next week and a half. Can't we just get some old skool "Name That Tune" back in the day when Joe would get so frustrated over his big bag of hits? I would love that.

"Tuesday, December 28, 2010 The show is off until January 10th for the Christmas/New Years holiday. Today's best-of show included the following...Producer Joe's Street Raspberries, The Dudely Lama Interview, Zane's moose knuckle problem and making is brother puke, Producer Joe's Snail Face, Ragnar Bengstonn the male breast-feeding Swede, Things to do before you die, Chris Trew of the Air Sex Championships, The Zane's teach their son about pleasuring himself, Producer Joe births a baby calf, Jack Lalanne Interview, Joyce Dales from SweetOnGeeks.com, Producer Joe's Liquid Ass Barf Scarf, Intern Dr. Rob's Internview with the writer of fat people books, Dude Shadoway and Mary Jo Buttafuoco and Producer Joe eats an onion. Talk to you on Wednesday! -steve"
...That was posted on the facebook site. Those segments don't match what showed up on the podcast for me. Anyone else have that issue? Like Mayor, it seems like all I'm getting is a rebroadcast of the Thanksgiving best of shows. I guess the podcast isn't getting the same segments as the show?

Part of the problem with Best Of days and how they seem to repeat a bunch of stuff is that there's too much input from listener requests. People keep asking for the same stupid segments all the time.
Not saying that's causing the problems you guys in here are having, just making a general observation.

I'm not saying I'm not getting "new" podcasts. I am. It's just that I think Steve is reuploading all the most recent "Best of" broadcasts instead of actually searching for something different to post.
I agree that listeners request the same stuff too much. It pains me when I hear Steve talk about how there's so much overkill with wanting to hear the same Joe stunts over and over again (especially when most of them are available 24/7 on the website or youtube.)

I must give Steve some props for today's podcast since I bagged on him last week.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. Most of the stuff was relatively new to "Best of" (minus the one billionth playing the tractor tire stunt.) "Uncanny Impressions" is always appreciated. I'd still like to hear some old skool "Name Than Tune" even if it takes three segments but all in all Steve hit one out of the park today. My day definitely went by faster hearing today's show.

god i miss name that tune...I always hate when they change the show, but then it almost always ends up being a good decision on their part and I'm proven wrong, but I still miss NTT every friday...the Kurt Busch Halloween edition was my all time favorite segment

NTT was one of my favorites as well. That was a great segment.

I loved Name That Tune. It's too bad they couldn't bring it back for a monthly segment.
