The good news: On Friday I just received a significant raise at work.
The bad news: This morning the tranny started to take a shit on my beloved Audi.
The car is fine unless I have no intention of driving in reverse.

I'll just go ahead and have a conversation with myself:
Well, self, the good news is that it was a cash car and it lasted 2 years with minimal investment. The other good news is that at least you weren't on a long trip. Being 3 miles from home, if it had completely failed, isn't too much of an inconvenience.
Sure, self, you're a one-car family for a short period of time, which sucks, but soon enough things will be back to normal.

My car is falling apart too. its a Ford Focus. Sad thing is, its only 4 years old, has less than 100,000 miles on it and now the berings, and front axle need replacing, and I just recently had a new altenator put in. I don't abuse my car and make sure its maintained, but apparently its a crappy car.
So, I cleaned it up real nice and am going to take it to the Honda place to see if I can trade it on a Civic or a Fit. I hate that American brand cars are made like crap.

I don't abuse my car and make sure its maintained, but apparently its a crappy car. I will make sure I look for you on the way to/from work in case you are broken down on the side of the road. |

A few months ago, the front differential on my jeep was freezing up. $2750 later and no pay raise (and a baby on the way) later.....I have my jeep back.
;D car designer people that don't design cars to be fixed inexpensively!

no new car for me  apparently there aren't hardly any Hondas since the Tsunami. I guess I'll fix my crap car and drive it till it dies. |

Correction: crappy AmericAn brand cars are Made liKe Crap. You Shouldn't expect a Ford Focus to have the same quality as a Lincoln MKz. @biff: Congrats on the raise! |
