Congrats to Free Beer and the Mrs.! They will finally join Hot Wings and Zane in their obvious goal of bringing down the average IQ of the world population... Just kidding. The rules of statistics and probablilities ensure the fact that their children will undoubtedly be smarter than any of them, hopefully.
In all seriousness, I'm really happy for them. Hopefully in the not too distant future, my husband and I will also be blessed with parenthood. (replace "blessed" with your own choice of word)

I was beginning to think that FB and Amanda were going to be one of those couples that just decided against having kids. I am very happy for them also. And, Sunshyne, I can't wait to see you as a wobbler. You are going to be an awesome Mom!!

It will be interesting to see how he handles fatherhood. Big changes are in store and his self-admitted selfishness is going to have to take a back seat to the child.
Either way, I am really happy for them. It's been a lot of fun for us to be parents.

But I'm super excited for him.

Congrats! Kids are awesome and Sleep is waaaaaay overrated. You can say that now since your precious one is still in the sleep-most-of-the-day stage. Wait until he's 15 and you spend all day at work and most nights running him to practices, games and other activities. Hell, i'm living on 5-hour energy (except that shit is only working for about 3 1/2 hours) so I don't fall asleep at my desk.

Apparently the darkness brings out his "Daddy's sleepin' so I'm gonna cry" mode. I'm hoping that by the time he's that age I'm more immune to it.

Just don't encourage him to do sports or extracurricular activities and that might happen... I'm hoping when I finally have a kid, by the time he/she's doing sports, etc, i will either gotten more efficient in my house care, or caring less about my house care... Hopefully more efficient.
