The damn bastards here at work decided to block the FB&HW website so I can't listen online or watch the webcams! Not to mention download the show once it's posted. I'm extremely pissed off about this. Anyone know of any sneaky ways I can bypass the new firewall?

I would try their affiliate sites. WGRD.com for starters. I would think that all of them would have a "listen live" link.
I don't know what to tell you about the webcam but I would imagine you could download the podcast from home.

I bookmarked Q103's website so we'll see how it works tomorrow. I'm really irritated about the webcams, though. It's one of the main reasons why I became a VIP. I think I'll talk to our IT idiot and see if he'll allow access. But I know he's going to bitch about bandwidth usage.

Not to start a flame war, but I'm going to take the "IT idiot's" side on this one. When users are gobbling up bandwidth for non-work related activities, it drives up infrastructure costs for the company, which affect's the company's profits and, by extension, your paycheck and/or job security.

I wouldn't take an issue with it if he was doing it across the board, but he's not. He's still allowing access to sports sites that I know the guys around me use to stream games in the afternoon. This change occured last night and so far seems to be affecting radio stations and local news sites, in addition to previously banned sites like YouTube, Facebook, etc (which I'm fine with).
Oh, and I refer to him as our "IT Idiot" for multiple reasons. Most of all being that he really doesn't know a damn thing about computers.

Dating myself, yes, I'm old, I remember when David Letterman began his career on national television with his morning show. It was during the summer and, near the end of the summer, a teenage wrote in to him regarding his sadness at not being able to watch the show once school resumes.
Letterman's advice? Skip school and stay home to watch the show.

I wouldn't take an issue with it if he was doing it across the board, but he's not. He's still allowing access to sports sites that I know the guys around me use to stream games in the afternoon. Fair enough; I agree that all non-work-related sites should be banned equally. He's probably using a tool that tracks bandwidth usage and throws an alarm when usage goes above a certain threshold for a particular site. Maybe the sports sites haven't crossed the threshold. I think it would be quite reasonable to ask him why streaming sports is allowed. However, the answer might be "because the CEO likes to listen to the ballgame," which is a perfectly reasonable answer. Holy shit, dude! I'm old enough to have watched Letterman when he was in Jimmy Fallon's current slot, but I had NO idea that he had a morning show before that! I always thought he went directly from local weatherman to late night talk show host. In hindsight, that's pretty silly...

Stupid is as stupid does . . . oh wait, you said silly. Nevermind.
I watched Forest Gump Sunday. Well, more listened to it while I was working. Gosh, there are so many great lines in that movie. One of my favorites would have to be, "I'm sorry I ruined your black panther party".

You can stream the show live on the WQLZ website, but then during breaks you have to listen to that guy do the IL news in flight attendant voice fashion.
