It's time for another poll I probably won't heed...
BTW upgrading from an original HTC Incredible.

Had to vote iPhone, much as I hated to do it. I'm definitely not on the Apple bandwagon, but the 4s just seems like the boss. I like Droids, but they're apparently malware magnets. I have a BlackBerry Torch, and it isn't bad, but it isn't an iPhone, either.

I knew this would be a landslide. Iphone = big want but not a big need for me. Will probably upgrade to one in the spring when my contract is up.

I like Droids, but they're apparently malware magnets. Plus there's that issue of privacy and what not.... Color me unsurprised that a Skynet Google product is capturing private data.

Not a Google product, Carrier IQ is a privately owned company and works on every single phone in the US except the iPhone 4s. This includes any flip phones as well. I voted for the iPhone because it is one of the slickest phones I have ever seen, and that's saying a lot considering how much I despise Apple.

As an iPhone owner (and it is the ONLY apple product I am willing to pay for) I voted iPhone too.
It really does do what it advertises it can do and it blows away the wannabe copy cats.

The 4S is the first iPhone I've owned and I'm blown away. You gotta get one.

The report I saw the other night indicated that it was running exclusively on Androids. That's whack. In reality, there is so much data out there on every one of us already but I still don't like it being something that can't be disabled without disabling the phone. That's bullshit.

Virtually every single cell phone in the USA. 141 million and counting, hell they even have a counter on their website: www.carrieriq.com/

Apparently they have been getting some heat about the data collection and they issued a statement on their website claiming that what they collect is limited.
Either way, it appears as if they don't HAVE to limit themselves on what they collect.

I voted for the HTC. I like to be a contrarian sometimes.

Either way, it appears as if they don't HAVE to limit themselves on what they collect. No, they really could collect any of the data that their program saves. However most phone companies don't have the server space to store that much data and only collect the same type of data that is collected by most websites. It does worry me that they could construct every text and number you ever dialed from your phone storage...seems like that could be taken advantage of by identity thieves.

Ok I just ordered the iPhone even though the Rezound is technically a better phone. Will give it the 14-day trial and see how it goes! I hate myself.
