As told by police, the officer pulled over a vehicle for a violation involving the vehicle's equipment. Several men were in the vehicle, which pulled into a driveway.
One man got out, but the officer ordered him back in the vehicle. The man got back into the vehicle, and the officer saw him with a handgun. The officer fired, and the man grabbed an assault rifle and got out of the vehicle. That's when the officer fired the fatal shots.
