Back on the message board for a brief moment..... currently going thru a divorce. Any advice? DO NOT involve the kids (if there are any) and try no to be spiteful when dividing the marital assets. (i.e., you really probably don't want that ugly chair, so don't insist on taking it just because you know she wants it). Edit: And bless your heart. I hope everything goes well. Divorce is hard. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Debating on whether or not I should take a nap. Nothing going on this afternoon, took the rest of the day off.

...wondering what's next for West Michigan. First flooding, then a tornado, and now an earthquake. I swear, if the Grand River turns to blood, I'm getting the hell out of Dodge.

...very glad to be home. It has been a long, unpleasant evening. My car broke down on I-75 today on the way home from work. I spent 70 minutes sitting on a guard rail waiting for the tow truck to arrive.
It was the rush period, with four lanes of constant traffic flowing past me at 70 MPH. I'm no good at math, so I have no idea how many vehicles passed me in that time, but it was a huge number. Out of all of them, guess how many stopped to see if I needed help? Exactly one.
Which is, as Free Beer would say, one billion percent more than I expected to stop. (Yes, zdunklee, I know that one billion percent of zero is still zero...I'm not THAT bad at math.) I was absolutely amazed when this pickup truck pulled over to the shoulder. In these days of cell phones and emergency road service, who does that? Not that I didn't appreciate it...

I just hope she doesn't become spiteful. And at this point I am living far from home so its a little scary but I'm managing

Yea, but if I sign up with a different email address then I can get as many accounts as I have emails. It isn't hard to "trick" the failsafe for proboards at all so I am certain this is the same douchebag if you check his/her IP.

...leaving for Mt. Pleasant for the Hot Rockin' Country staff reunion. Can't believe it has been 10 years! ...and that almost sucked. The e-mail I got said "we're going to try to get EVERYBODY to come!" Not only were Gregg and Chris not there, they didn't even get invited. The person who was supposed to handle the invitations was a no show, which explains a lot. In fact, only one other person did show up. It was great to catch up with him, though.

Excellent suggestion. That should keep you busy for about a month. Bingo. I am just about finished with it. It is a very interesting book and it is amazing to see how much of it parallels what is going on in the US today.

I have never read a work of fiction that has had a larger impact on my life and my view of the world than Atlas Shrugged. I intend to read The Fountainhead this fall; a friend of mine says that one's better.

In terms of fiction I've always enjoyed the military-esq type books, like you'd see from Tom Clancy. As for nonfiction, I've been recently reading a bit of a range of stuff. I like historical nonfiction ( Rome, 1960), and I like more of the comedy-esq stuff ( God and Football, Stuff Christians Like[/url]). Basically, so long as I think a book will hold my attention, I'll consider it.

Also check out the King and Maxwell series by David Baldacci for some ex-military like books, it starts with Split Second. davidbaldacci.com/writing/novels/split-second?task=view

I mean, technically, this board isn't even affiliated with the show. So show code doesn't really apply here. Right?
